This year (2018) the Gay Games 10 will be in Paris, France. My partner, André, and I will be participating in the new event of pétanque. Our friend, Michel, is our third player to round out our triplette, aptly named Triplette de Domaine de la Fierté Québec--Domaine de la Fierté is the community where we all three live. As this is the first time for any of us to participate in the Gay Games and Michel being a first-time visitor to Paris, let alone Europe, I wanted to make sure to document our experience through social media. To support a simple way to do that, I provided some gadgets that will help all three of us share an upcoming incredible adventure at the Gay Games in Paris.
Lastly, the most important of all, an adapter for Europe. This adapter has four USB outlets for all these gadgets. My partner and our friend will be bringing other adapters so all of our electronics will be covered on this trip.

- Canon Powershot SX700 HS. You may be wondering, "Why am I taking a camera when a cell phone would work just fine?" Here's an article that I wrote that would answer that. Why You Should Bring an Actual Camera on Your Next Vacation
- Maxway Portable Powerbank and Solgaard Solarbank. With a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and two iPhones, I wanted to be certain that none of us run out of charge for our cell phones while on this trip.
- Bomax SD card reader. I wanted a gadget to help upload or download media files via SD memory card for both Android as well as iPhone.
- SanDisk memory cards. These are essentials. I have memory cards from 8 gbs up to 128 gbs.
- Extra batteries for my camera and video camera.
- Canon Vixia HF R50. I wanted to bring this along for the ride so I can have some extended footage of the opening and closing ceremonies.
- KobraTech Bluetooth Shutter Remote. This came with the KobraTech Cell Phone Tripod Adapter, and I thought it might come in handy for those group photos by cell phone.
- KobraTech Cell Phone Tripod Adapter. I bought this so I can use the manual settings on my Note 8 for low lighting. It's an amazing feature on the Note 8, and I wanted to use it while in Paris.
- Joby Micro Hybrid Tripod. This is a portable tripod that fits conveniently in my urban pack.
